Owens Parent teach confrence

Today i had to meet with Owens teacher to see how hes doing. I really wasnt too worried because Owen is such a good student and have little problems with him at home. Well his teacher said she was very pleased with Owen and is doing very well. The teacher that has been on maternity leave looked at his stuff and she was also very impressed with Owen. He was tested the first week of school and they had a line where they would like him to be well the first test showed he past the above average line very proud of him and the other test showed he was average. They will test him again in the winter and spring. She mentioned how they would be sending progress reports home to see what he needs to work on and she said she will not cause Owen doesnt need to work on anything. So as you can see we are very proud of him. Owen always has been such an intellectual lil guy things come easy and loves school. His first day of school he said My Name is Owen Smith and i'm ready to learn. He truly is Chris's boy. He's so much like chris not only looks like him but does so well in school like he did.

Just the Two of us

Yes Saturday finally we had a night together with no kids. Okay some ppl might say i love to stay at home with my kids and all that stuff. But dont get me wrong i love my children more than anyone could know however it was so nice to be able to be together without chasing after the kids. Well Chris got off work early so that was great then rented some movies and picked up some groceries. When we got home we had steaks, bake potato, corn on the cob with salad plus Margarita's. We had a very nice evening but what the sad part is i fell asleep on the couch at 9:00 Chris had to carry me to bed. We have no kids with us and i fall asleep that early were getting so old.

Owens New Pet

Hello Everyone,

Owen has received a gift from his cousin yes a lizzard which he has named him Spike. I'm a dog lover and never thought i would ever own a reptile. I guess you should say never well i think its alot better than Snakes or spiders. I dont mind him actually its the crickets in there that drive me crazy. When he arrived today Chey said get him outta of here. But now she's loving him just like Owen is. She was telling us the lizzard is owens and the crickets are mine however we have not told her yet the crickets will dissapear=). I really couldnt get a good picture of him so this is the best i can get for right now. We hope everyone has a great weekend.

Cheyenne's First Day of Preschool

Yes the day has arrived and lil missy started her first day of preschool. Was it harder on her or harder on mommy well if you were asking Chey she would say mommy. After we dropped Owen at school we went home and she started to cry, cry and cry. I asked what the matter was and she eventually told me she would be missing her brother. I mentioned me or daddy and she said NO just my big brother. Well she calmed down after she had her bath and got to put her favorite dress on of course it had Dora on it. Then she was ready for school she didnt seem too nervous more excited. When i dropped her off she marched up the steps into the classroom and went to go play. As i was talking to her teacher she said mommy leave get out of here then Russchelle said thats your Que and i just smiled and was on my way. However once i got out to the van i realized she's not my baby anymore she's growing up so fast. But once i got home i realized it was so quiet and i didnt know what i was going to do with all this free time it was actually nice. Well after 3 hrs i went to go pick up our lil princess and she was so excited and had to show me everything she did for the day also she said can i come back tomorrow=) i told her no not till Friday and away she went so excited didnt even want to hold my hand she said i'm a big girl now. Will see as the week follows how well she likes school lol. Well i should close for now good night everyone

Owen First Day of Kindergarten

Owen started kindergaten Aug 25 and i thought this day would never come. I mean i knew it would just not this fast. When he started preschool i cried after i dropped him off it was very hard i've been home with him most of the time he went to daycare for 5 months of his life and i couldnt take it anymore so i had to stay home with him. But when i dropped him off at kindergaten round up last spring i balled my eyes out and thought how am i going to do this when he actually starts. However i was very suprised i took him over where he needed to line up i told him i wouldnt give him a kiss or a hug to embarrass him and he ran over to give me a hug and kiss and he left and I never shed a tear. Well when he came home he told me his day was so long cause he missed me the whole time how sweet better enjoy it cause i know it wont last long. But over all i think he had a good time at school and will love it just like he loved preschool.

Mr. Rodeo

It was a Saturday morning August 9th heading to the Ogallala fair grounds. Well I put Owen in the Mr. Rodeo contest for u those who don't know what that is its a competition for Lil girls and boys ages 4-6 and they are asked a few questions and they are judged on there cowboy/cowgirl attire and how they answer their questions. They asked Owen what he wanted to be when he grew up and his answer was a train engineer and what is the best part of the fair rodeo well Owen said the bulls so he could be a bull rider like is daddy was. Well after the 10 boys went they crowned Owen Mr. Rodeo i was very shocked that he won cause most of the Lil boys were dressed more like a cowboy all Owen had on was his cowboy clothes with spurs, boots and a cowboy hat he wouldn't put on the chaps cause they looked silly but i believe he won by how he answered his questions and he had such confidence in his answers which he gets from his daddy. And after winning Mr. Rodeo we had a busy weekend. After Mr. Rodeo we entered Owen in the kiddie pedal pull push and he won 2nd in his age group. Later in the day Owen attempted to do the mutton buston however that didn't go so well but it all changed when he got to ride in a pick up at the rodeo announcing his name over the loud speaker that he won which he said he felt like Mr. President. Then Sunday he rode in the Fair parade with Lil miss rodeo and he felt like he was on top of the world. The Mr. Rodeo won a big belt buckle and a neat rope lets just say it was a hectic weekend however the smile on my son's face of how excited and proud he won was priceless no one can take that moment away from us proud parents.
