Going on a diet

Well i've decided to go on a diet and try to get back in shape. I've always put it off but i dont think i've ever been this big well when i was pregnant with both kids. So i'm gonna get in gear and exercise more and try to eat better wish me luck this holiday is going to be so hard.

Suprise Crystal

Well last night after the kids birthday party was like no other we were all going out for supper with chris's folks and i asked tess and shawn if they would come with us and of course they said we would probably go to supper but leave after that. However i was a lil bummed that my mom and sister's family wasnt going to come but i understood.Well i've been wanting to go to this restaurant for our anniv and he never takes me well it surrounds the lake and it so gorgeous with a fireplace. Well i knew i forgot my camera and i went back to get it when i see Tess bringing in a package and while i'm getting my camera my mother in law kinda cornering me i was like yeah theres something up. When i get my camera we go and take pictures of the lake and i hear chris i was thinking oh he probably has a cake for me well when i turned around it was my father in law and chris following so he said we better go in so while i'm walking by the windows looking for a table that has a cake and i'm like hmm its around the corner they said so when i walked through the door there was my sisters family and my mom with a cake and some balloons with pictures scattered on the table of me growing up. I do not show my true feelings around people and i just couldnt hold it in when i saw my family i just lost it and was hugging everyone crying, crying and crying some more lol. Well Tess gave me a pretty friendship frame with a neat paper book about our friendship which i didnt get to read till i was home very emotional. Then Chris said he had a platter made for me with our names on it so we could serve turkey this year on which i thought was nice then he said but until then this will have to do. Well it was a Ring box and i opened it up and i was so surprise it was the ring i've been wanting for months. I love love love rubies and it has one big ruby with two lil ones on the side and lil diamonds going down each the sides. I just couldnt believe it. Cause i kept telling him all i want for christmas is a ruby ring. He had got everyone involved and for once i had no idea he pulled it off and it was absolutely perfect. I was going to say the only thing that was missing was my dad and my other sisters family but i understood. I truly am the luckiest girl alive. Then my cake was very pretty with peach roses on it which are my favorite flower. I know it wasnt easy cause i do not like surprises and i have to know everything and i usually find out but i have to say i had NO idea my family and Chris really got me. I love you all thanks for making my birthday so wonderful.

Cheys Halloween Costume

Well i thought this yr would be easy she would just use her same costume from last yr since she still young. Well no that didnt happen she decided to be a cowboy/cowgirl she says. I'm like okay that wont be to hard borrow some spurs and buy a toy cowboy hat. Well were on a mission to find a cowboy hat at our first store & cant find one so we go to this other store and guess what happens she throws cowgirl out of the picture and fell in love with this other costume. However no one will get to see the costume till Oct 31st because she wants it to be a suprise. But i think some of u maybe suprise what she gets. So make sure u check in to see what halloween costume she decided with. She wont even tell her daddy and its driving him crazy he goes it better not be nothing to wild or revealing lol. But i think daddy will approve. Stay tuned ??????????

This moring i woke up to the song "The Dance" by Garth Brooks yes that song has a lot of meaning to it but that was one of Melissa's favorite songs. I'm sure some of you are wondering who Melissa was. I want to say sorry you never got to meet her cause she was such an amazing girl who live each day as if it was her last. Well i never even got to meet her but the stories i hear and the love my husband had for her was just amazing. Melissa was born not expected to make it out of the hospital. Well down the road he met an amazing woman Debbie who truly took Melissa under her wings and the only mom Melissa knew and ended up getting a brother and sister who truly loved her more than words can say. Melissa's life involved lots and lots of doctors each year at school saying melissa may not be with you at the end of the yr well once they got older the principal stop saying that. For those who didnt know her she was a very strong will person she was a fighter maybe cause she had the evans blood in her. By the time they were graduating HS some of the boys in her class did something at the graduation that will forever be in there hearts. They ended up lifting her wheelchair up on stage so she would be able to receive her diploma like the rest of the class. Lets just say there was no dry eyes in the gym. When Chris saw her the next yr at homecoming she was not having a real good day which wasnt unusually cause she had so much pain most of her life. But what he didnt realize that would be the last day he ever spoke to her again. One day during school God must of realized she had enough and he took her in his arms so she wouldnt hurt no more. Chris served as one of the pallbearer's at her funeral. They never dated but everyone that knows Chris knew he loved her so much. And still misses her like crazy. I really know when he misses her cause i hear so many stories about their special friendship they shared. The story doesnt end here with Melissa yes your thinking how can that be well when we were pregnant and finding out it was a girl chris made a special call to the Evans asking if we could name Cheyenne after her. Of course with open arms and tears they accepted. Well Oct 11th Cheyenne Melissa was welcomed into the world which was 9 yrs to the date Melissa past away. When we made the phone calls to Cheyennes new grandparents there was a lot of tears and joy. Our lil Cheyenne does not know how special she is to the Evans but in the future she will. Like one day i ended up calling Chey Missy when she was 18 months Chris whip around and said where did u get that. I said i dont know it just came to me and he said thats what some people use to call Melissa i told him sorry and he mentioned no i like it i havent heard it for awhile. So thats what her daddy calls her. And the funny thing is she only lets her daddy call her that. I just wish i could of met her if i was in Chris's life sooner just to say i knew her but the truth is i actually feel i already do. She was such a fighter and smiling even though she hurt she kept pushing. If i ever can be half that girl i know i have done something right. So I ask you this saturday to light a candle in memory of melissa and the life that she led. Thank You for all the wonderful years Melissa we miss you like it was just yesterday. How Cute

Today i went to take the kids to school and was walking down Owens Class Hall when i noticed some art pictures on the wall. Well when i came to Owens he drew a picture of some people and at the bottom they were asked what they like to do for fun as most kids said play with cars or on their bikes stuff like well my lil Owen said he liked to play with his lil sister my heart melt and i thought that was so cute. I know they fight like all siblings but i know they truly love each other and they really look out for each other. I just hope they have that special bond that my siblings and i've had over the yrs.

Spike Culbertson Smith owen named it

Okay I been dreading this but Spikes Cage was getting kinda gross. I knew it had to get done since we have family coming in this weekend and next weekend too. But today was the perfect time to get it done since i have both kids in school. I even called my mother in law but she was very dissapointed she couldnt help lol. Lets just say she doesnt really care for those kinds of animals she's more a dog lover. But trying to get him in another cage is kinda scary kinda grosses you out. But i overcame my fear and got it all done and spikes alot happier. Thank goodness i only have to do it like once a month. If you asked me in HS if i would ever do something like this i would say no way thats gross but its crazy how things change. Owen loves Spike and i'm very suprised how well he does care for Spike and really takes care of him. He has really stepped up and taking the responsibilites to take care of his pet. Its very cute at night he even reads a good night story to spike lol.

Happy Birthday Owen

As some of you saw yesterday that i wrote about my grandma passing away 6 yrs ago on friday. Well Owen decided he needed to come out the next day. So the cramps i was feeling i was already in labor and didnt realize it. At noon i decided to go to the hospital cause my dr office was closed over noon hr so they said just go up there and see whats going. We arrived thinking chris would go back to work and come back around 11pm think i would probably go slow since it was our first one. Oh no when we arrived i was already 9cin along. I waited till then to let my mom know. Well she was 5 hrs away and her place was dealing with my grandmas death and she promised she would leave right after the funeral the next day. I told chris i wanted to go to church sat cause i wouldnt be able to go to the funeral well he went and found a priest during my labor yeah that was nice but the timming wasnt right lol. I had such horrible leg cramps and got medicine for that which it didnt help. I was in labor 5 hrs and pushed for an hr. Chris kept saying push i pulled him closer and said I AM. Okay if you dont know Chris he's a very big guy and its sorta funny. Well at 4:45 Derek Owen Smith was born 5lbs 1oz. and 20 inches long. Well he was 5 weeks early i'm so glad i didnt go full term he would of been a big baby. His lungs werent quite developed. I got to hold him for a second then they took him away. Later when i walked down there he was hooked to some machines but nothing like my nieces. He was sleeping and the nurse was telling me how stubborn he already was and i just giggled once i done that he opened his eyes and it was so weird i started to cry then cause i knew he knew his mommy was there. My inlaws made it after he was born and they were alot help just being there was real nice. On saturday i got to hold him for the first time it was so wonderful. Then my folks came on sunday and got me out of the hospital it was weird cause i was leaving Owen behind. Once we got back Chris got to hold him then a very special time. After a long monday waiting and waiting for the drs we got to go home. My folks stayed with us the whole week it was real nice and lot of help for first time parents lol.

Been Gone for 6 yrs

On this date 6 yrs ago an at this time my grandma past away. She woke up and sat up in her bed like any other day but once she did that she fell over in her bed and she was gone. When we received the phone call i kept guessing all the grandparents till i got to my grandma cause i always knew my grandma couldnt go not just yet because i was 8 months pregnant and she wouldnt leave till she met Owen. However it was true she was gone. I went to work and when i turned on the radio on my way to work was playing the diamond rio song One more day. Well the worse part of the whole thing was i had only 5 weeks left in pregnancy and my grandma lived 6 hrs away. So i was unable to go to the funeral and you can just imagine what i was going through. Later that night chris took me out just so i wouldnt think of the whole thing as much. Well we went and done something didnt think too much of it and then we went out for some late breakfast. I noticed through out the day kept cramping up and they just got worse through the night and i kept saying okay i'm stressing the baby i need to stop they will go away. After we got home we went to bed. I love you and Miss you very much grandama love your lil pill=)
